Little town, little crimes? In Emin Alper’s thriller, an ambitious prosecutor faces his new job, which he tooks after the predecessor who died in unsolved circumstances. At first, the locals seems to be open on the stranger, but full of hopes and dreams, dedicated to work policeman may shake the solid status quo of the town…

Before the prosecutor even starts to work through the local corruption structures, he’ll made himself some mighty enemies, becoming a target of homophobic assaults . Then he’ll get involved in case of brutal rape on young girl.

The film is a metaphor of Recep Erdogan’s  opressive governance, but its bitter message and suffocating atmosphere will be clear everywhere in places where right-wing and conservatives rule.

This is the story about society dominated by men, about their inner conflicts – said the director during The Cannes Festival.
