Each week 'Wrocław Uncut' will be bringing you weekly previews of what's on at the cinema in English.
Movie Of The Week:
Song From the Forest
This week's featured movie is another documentary, Song From the Forest.
The film is made by 1st time director Louis Sarno, who traveled to the jungles of central Africa 25 years ago. During his lengthy stay, Louis recorded over 1000 hours of original BaAka music, learnt the local language, became a father and became integrated into the BaAKa community.
Keeping up to his promise, Louis takes his pygmy son to his native USA, where both learn about their place in the world. On their return to the jungle however, the pair soon find out that not everything is as it was - and that globalization more than played its part.

English Language Films:
Begin Again
Another music themed film out this weekend is Begin Again, directed by John Carney of Once fame. Starring Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo, the film is understandably being compared to Carney's last hit due to the similarity of the plot. Begin Again also has a romance between two musicians at its core, only this time out the city backdrop is New York rather than Dublin. How exactly does it match up? See this review by Susan Wloszczyna to find out.
Foreign Language Films (Without English Subtitles):
Il Rosso e il blu
This week's featured foreign language release is the Italian comedy Il Rosso e il blu. Set inside a Roman High school, the film aims to home in on the relationship between teachers and former students, on expectations and apathy, as well as the two groups' overlapping destinies.
