Spotkania w ramach SOFA odbywają się w języku angielskim.
15 sierpnia we Wrocławiu (Europejskiej Stolicy Kultury 2016) rozpocznie się druga edycja School of Film Agents (SOFA) - międzynarodowych warsztatów dla branży filmowej w całej Europie. SOFA to program szkoleniowy wspierający młodych profesjonalistów w rozwoju projektów kinowo-filmowych.
Po raz drugi SOFA zaprasza na warsztaty „agentów filmowych” z Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej, Niemiec, Azji Środkowej, Republik Bałtyckich oraz (po raz pierwszy) z Grecji, którzy pracować będą nad projektami rozwoju lokalnej kultury filmowej w swoich regionach.

School of Film Agents (SOFA) jest wspólnym projektem realizowanym przez Filmplus UG (Kolonia) i Fundację Filmplus (Warszawa) we współpracy z Miastem Wrocław i Polskim Instytutem Sztuki Filmowej. Projekt jest finansowany przez Fundację Współpracy Polsko-Niemieckiej, Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych, Międzynarodowy Fundusz Wyszehradzki, Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, Creative Europe Desk Polska, Fundację Alfred Toepfer oraz EAVE – European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs. Wspierany jest przez Instytut Adama Mickiewicza, we współpracy z Goethe-Institut w Polsce (Kraków), w Serbii, na Węgrzech, na Słowacji, w Rumunii, na Litwie i z główną centralą w Niemczech oraz przez Polską Komisję Filmową i Wrocławską Komisję Filmową.
Kino Nowe Horyzonty we Wrocławiu jest współorganizatorem projektu.
The Europe-wide, one of a kind workshop program SOFA (School of Film Agents) will take place in the Polish city of Wroclaw (European Capital of Culture 2016) from August 15th till August, 2014. The SOFA supports international film professionals and mediators in the realization of film cultural projects.
The second edition of SOFA’s workshop-initiative will invite young „film agents“from Central and Eastern Europe, Germany, Central Asia, the Baltic Republics and, for the first time, Greece to work together with experts on their projects with the goal of further developing the regional film culture and industries in their respective countries.

Find out more about the pan-European training programme EAVE (which had made success stories and served as kind of a role-model for SOFA), the most active funding body for film in Poland and the globally active Goethe-Institut. Polish entrepreneur Radosław Drabik will provide further inside into the Polish film scene.
